Under UK law, all commercial vehicles are  obliged to carry first aid. The transport industry operates within disparate conditions and consequently has diverse needs. Many drivers continually work away from their base or company HQ, and often require overnight breaks in the cab while in the UK or abroad. These circumstances present specific risks, and it is imperative that employers make certain their valuable employees are suitably protected. In the event of injury or accident, a first aid kit that is easily reached, user-friendly, and stocked with vital items is an absolute necessity. The HGV kit goes beyond the minimum requirements of the Public Service Vehicle ( PSV), Act 1981. Carefully chosen items cater for broader risk, including eye wash, extra-large and medium sized dressings, a resuscitation shield, and an emergency survival blanket. The divergence of risk between running a local taxi service and operating a fleet of HGV’s carrying dangerous goods and chemicals far afield, these additions may be indispensable. SAFETY ON THE ROAD Numerous laws, regulations, and agreements apply to the operation of heavy goods vehicles at home and overseas. The priorities are cited as ‘safety, security, and environmental protection’. The UK government lists first aid kits as one of “the essentials” for international road haulage, and many countries outside the UK require them as a condition of travel. Additionally, consider other items that may need to be carried, for instance, warning triangles, reflective jackets, and fire extinguishers (mandatory in some countries). A full risk assessment is not merely compulsory; when choosing first aid supplies, it could lead to a lifesaving decision.

How long do I have to wait for delivery from Lion Safety?

Lead times are 1 day for stock-based products. If your order is placed before 3:30 PM for unbranded stock-based products, we will ensure that your order is despatched the same day on a 24-hour delivery service via our own transport or courier partners.
 

What happens if my order is not placed before 3:30 PM?

Our Operations Team works very quickly to dispatch whatever makes it onto the system within the day, so there is still a chance your order will leave us the same day, even if its placed after 3:30 PM. We just can't guarantee it as the team starts to switch priorities after this time.
 

If my order is not fully in stock, will my order be held up?

If you are ordering other items as part of your order and some are not in stock, and your preferences have been set to 'not accept part shipments', then any goods in stock will be held until the whole order is complete and ready for shipment.
However, generally speaking, items in stock will be shipped and any back-ordered items will follow as soon as they land with LION.

 

What happens and how long will I have to wait if an item is not in stock?

If this item is not in stock, please allow 3-4 days for delivery. Delivery times into LION vary from product to product, however, we work to reduce these as much as possible.
Non-stock goods are delivered within 3-4 working days.
Goods from Europe can take longer however, we will let you know as soon as possible by email or phone call.

At LION we aim to ensure that what we provide is available quickly and from stock.

The standard delivery charge is £5.75 excl. VAT for all orders under £50.00 excl. VAT.
 

What is the Returns process?

Arrgh! We all hate it when something isn't right or doesn't fit, or gets delivered with damages. We want to simplify the return process so that you can get what you need  or get damaged items replaced, as quickly as possible.
 

What can I do I'm unsatisfied with my order?

If you are unsatisfied with your order or an item in your order, you may be able to return it, providing that;

  1. The goods are in a resaleable condition and haven't been worn outside;
  2. The goods can be returned in the original packaging (excluding the courier bag) so that they can be resold;
  3. The goods have not received any personalisation, or additional branding, or come with your company logo branded on them.

Returned items may be subject to a Handling and Restocking fee, at the discretion of LION. 
 

Should I notify LION if I want to return an order or item?

Yes, you will need to notify LION, preferably by email for traceability, so that we can authorise it, but you are welcome to give us a call and speak to one of the Team.

Our terms and conditions state that, ALL RETURNS MUST BE AUTHORISED BY LION SAFETY. Please do not ship anything back to us until you have had confirmation of a Returns Number.

 

Can I start this process online?

If your order has been placed online through this portal, you will be able to initiate this return by going to My Account > View Account > Order History. Type in the search box for the order number, and click on it. Once in the order, you will be able to start the Returns Process.
